Katy and west Houston are part of our heritage. Our founder, the Rev. Dean Robinson, grew up in Amazing Place West’s backyard. For more than 29 years Amazing Place has served the greater Houston area. This second campus in Katy is like a homecoming for us.

Amazing Place West

Conveniently Located & Accessible

Amazing Place West will offer the same excellent services and support the organization has provided to our community for more than two decades. In addition to our Day Program for those with mild to moderate dementia, and Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST) sessions for those with Mild Cognitive Impairment, our new campus in Katy will host caregiver classes, support groups and gatherings, Amazing Place West also will offer brain health education presentations, sessions and workshops for those interested in dementia prevention, memory preservation and planning to age well.

Casey C., ADC, Participant Program Manager

The program team has put their heart and soul into each individual who walked through our
doors. We have welcomed new participants, and we have said goodbye to others. We have had laughter, tears, friendships made, new passions and so much more.

Amazing Place is special. Everyone is relatable. We share with each other. And you’re allowed to take your time and effort to say what you have to say.

Gary, Day Program Participant

I was living in social isolation. Now I’m much more socially aware—my world was silent, I was starved.

Gary, Day Program Participant

Bette, Day Program Participant

Coming to Amazing Place has gotten me out of the house. I could sit at home and just watch tv by myself. Here, I get to express myself. I love painting.

Bette, Day Program Participant

Sharon, Day Program participant

It’s hard to do this by yourself. I’m not alone. I’m on the same page with everyone here. You get to voice your opinion. I have a choice in what to do when I’m here.

Sharon, Day Program Participant

Toni, Day Program Participant

It is encouraging to come here. Everyone has their differences, but people pay attention here to who I am and what I want. They listen and if something’s not right, they rectify it.
