We have so much to be grateful for this year...

This year, Amazing Place, the only day center in Houston exclusively devoted to those with mild to moderate dementia, has touched the lives hundreds of participants and family caregivers as well as thousands through our community outreach initiatives.

"I am so grateful knowing Dunbar is in such a safe and loving environment when he is at Amazing Place. He loves the food, the live music, and the friendships he’s made. He’s even asked to extend his days, just so he doesn’t miss anything! The staff at Amazing Place is nothing short of...amazing!"

- Trish Chambers, wife of participant Dunbar Chambers

Of all charitable giving in the United States, a mere 2% goes to the field of aging. As our fees cover only half of our expenses, we look to our friends to help with our mission of enriching lives through fellowship, memory care and wellness while providing support to our families and the community.

  • Received 100% satisfaction rate from our participants on our first ever participant survey.
  • Awarded more than $175,000 in need-based scholarships to families whose loved ones would otherwise be unable to attend.
  • More than 5,500 in combined hours were donated by our passionate volunteers who brought extra energy into our participant program. These hours equated to four full-time staff members!

As the holiday season approaches, we know the importance of family – sharing old memories and making new ones. We hope you will consider a year end gift to Amazing Place – honoring the lost memories of those who suffer or have suffered from this disease – or in appreciation of this haven we call Amazing Place.

Amazing Place is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Donations are tax-deductible in accordance with federal law.
